About Our Family
Mary's Story
For as long as she can remember, Mary wanted to create, to make things beautiful. She always believed that beauty could be seen in anything if you just looked hard enough. While this is true, making a career out of seeing that beauty wasn’t as easy. So the next best thing was following in the footsteps of her mother. Throughout her career of almost 15 years as a teacher, she always hoped that she would instill some creativity, some inspiration in the little minds that walked through her classroom door. Though she loved those sweet faces and the sound of their laughter, there was always something missing.
It often takes a wake-up call to see that we’re given this one and glorious life to make as beautiful as possible. Mary’s “wake up” came by way of cancer. The night of the diagnosis, while out on a family date, with the support of her husband Jason and two boys, Henry + Jack, Mary decided to leave a profession that wasn’t fulfilling the beauty she wanted out of life.
With the help of Jason and a global pandemic, the idea of Penny + Clover began to take shape. With each passing day, the idea grew, and before she knew it, Mary’s dreams were literally coming true in front of her. A dream that she never even knew could become a reality was born.

Our latest venture with Penny + Clover is the ultimate test of transitioning from one industry to another - From IT services to floral retail - From designing secure networks to displaying beautiful flowers.
The opportunity embraces his experience and passion to revolutionize an industry that has desperately needed modernization. He never thought he'd be part of the flower industry, but this is one of the most exciting things he's ever been a part of. Jason and Mary are beyond thrilled to showcase a new business model, a new floral market and change the ways flowers are purchased and gifted.
